PlasmaBound provides access to technology and products on a licence-basis, which enables manufacturers to prepare composite materials for bonding at a volume, and at a level of reliability that is currently unavailable, anywhere else. This technology will permit composites to exit low volume, high value ecosystems and enter mass manufacturing as a serious option for the reduction in weight, emissions, and extension of Electric Vehicle range.
Our mission is to enable the global product manufacturing industry to achieve UN Sustainability, EU Green Deal, and US CAFE objectives for a cleaner environment and circular economy by making it cheaper, easier and cleaner to implement fibre-reinforced composites as part of reducing product weight, with a key focus on self-propelled vehicles, craft and consumer electronics.
-Surface treatment of composites (thermoset e.g. Epoxy; thermoplastic: PP, PE, PEEK/PEAK, Aramid)
-Glass Fibre or carbon fibre
Using an atmospheric Plasma equipment to create an ablation instead of an activation (not requiring sanding)
Automatisation: in-line process of surface treatment of composites to better bond in line (speed 120-200mm/sec)
